A
very tall and veteran team spearheaded by Pointguard
Kenji Fujima and Center Toru Hanagata. Basically Fujima
holds this team together and without him, this team
would be an average team.
This team placed 2nd in the previous year, but in
the folowing year they were eliminated early in the
preliminary rounds by shohoku.

Fujima and Hanagata are the best
mutt and jeff combination in the Kanagawa district.
They played in such unison that its like they
can read each others mind. Its a pity that they
lost that early to Shohoku.
Fujima, since his freshmen year, had rivaled
Kainan's Maki. Though he always lose to Maki,
Fujima's talent cannot be denied. Being a good
player and a good coach at the same time, Fujima
holds the whole Shoyo team altogether. In a
tune-up game against Shohoku, Kenji showed his
great leadership skills by leading the shoyo-ryonan
team.
Hanagata, on the other hand, is a center gifted
with swiftness and agility. Unlike most centers,
He doesn't rely on strength and brute alone,
instead uses his quickness and shooting abilities
to gain advantage. Hanagata's determination
and talent makes him a good complement for Fujima. |
